Health Benefits of Midsummer Tea

Our tea blends are packed with natural antioxidants and nutrients from both the Silver Needle white tea, and our hand picked fruits and flowers.

The base of all of our tea blends, white tea, has similar health benefits to green tea. Both green and white teas are packed with antioxidants, but differ in flavor and caffeine level. Of all the teas made from the Camellia sinensis plant (black, oolong, green, and white), white tea is the least processed, and contains the lowest amount of caffeine. Our Silver Needle white tea is great to help your body rehydrate while revitalizing it with antioxidants.

At Midsummer Tea, we believe that nature knows best what your body needs during each season, and provides us with fruits and flowers that will get us through each year. We take these berries and flowers from each season and incorporate them into one of our four specialized blends.

The Summer Blend is perfect for clearing your skin and giving you a brighter look with blueberries, elderflowers, and rose petals. Strawberries have also been shown to boost the metabolism while providing you with fiber, potassium, and Vitamin C.

As the Autumn nights begin to grow longer and the weather turns colder, your body can start to feel more lethargic and can become more susceptible to illness. Our Autumn blend incorporates raspberries, lingonberries, and rose hips to help keep your body alert and prepare it for colder days to come. Raspberries and lingonberries contain flavonoids and fiber, both of which have been shown to help strengthen the body's immune system. Rose hips have very concentrated amounts of Vitamin C, making them ideal for fighting colds and flus.

Our Winter Blend will help to keep you healthy and warm during the coldest months. Blueberries and apples have high levels of Vitamin C, which will help keep the immune system working hard. Hints of ginger, cinnamon, and vanilla will give you a warming sensation while you sip this tea.

After a long winter, our Spring Blend will help you transition into a lighter, more energized mood with a bright floral flavor. The Spring Blend contains lavender, pear, and rose petals, each with their own health benefits. Lavender gives this blend its floral taste, but also helps promote calmness. Pears can help keep your immune system running after working hard in the winter with high levels of Vitamin C. the antibacterial properties of rose petals can help balance gut bacteria and protect it from infection.
